These dogs won't hunt
The Pakistan army has announced that it will withdraw hundreds of troops from a region near Afghanistan where Osama bin Laden is believed to be hiding. They have effectively called off the search for OBL.
Here's the line that caught my attention: "Bin Laden, architect of the Sept. 11 attacks against the United States, has been on the run since U.S. forces invaded Afghanistan in October 2001."
Despite his cowboy rhetoric to capture OBL "dead or alive," Bush has failed miserably. If there were only some way to distract Americans from this failure--like perhaps a pre-emptive war in a country that had nothing to do with 9-11....
P.S. Thanks to the 51% of voters for rewarding these miserable failures! And thank God for the 49% who knew better.
