Bush: "I am not a Crook"
Bush is starting to sound more and more like Nixon every day, with his lame defense of spying on American citizens without a warrant: "Really, it's legal, I swear!" The fourth amendment to the Constitution would beg to differ. Bush has yet to explain why he couldn't simply get a warrant to carry out his eavesdropping, either before or retroactively. When was the last time we heard that argument that "if the president does it, it's not illegal"? Oh yeah, that was an argument made in 1977 by the impeached, disgraced, crooked former president Nixon, who is starting to look like a pillar of ethics compared to Bush.
